I Donated Blood, Therefore...
Today marks the second official time I've been able to donate blood! Why not more than that? Because almost every time I go I find out my iron's low; in fact, the last time I tried it was the lowest it had ever been. It's great, I've gotten pretty good at monitoring my iron levels based on how tired/dazed I feel. It's almost like being a diabetic, in that there is a noticable change in your level of energy and irritability. For those of you who have never tried it, go for it, you'll save at least one life. If that's not enough motivation, you get cookies, juice, and usually a free (read: HUGE) t-shirt afterward. And it's fun, you may get to talk to someone interesting in or after the process.
On another note, Philosophy is one of my favorite classes ever. Right now I'm reading Descartes' "Meditations on First Philosophy" and it's about the most mind-numbing work I've ever read. For those of you who don't know, this is a guy who questions pretty much every little detail of life, in particular his own existence. "I think therefore I am" is more like "I think, but it confuses the heck out of me and all my readers. What's up with God? Is He real, and if He is, is He perfect, imperfect, or an evil genius?" Wow. I think this guy should've just stuck to his theory on living in a dream because frankly, that's where I'd prefer him.
Yours,
Anna

Anna,
Descartes philosophy is better than math. Cartesian mumbo jumbo. Alright, hang in there! Sounds like things are going well. Tell the professor (your dad) I said hello. :)
